News:

03/07/08: WHERE HAVE I BEEN?  Okay, it's almost criminal how out-of-date this is, but there's TONS of news!

I've been CAST in the latest and definitely greatest edition of The Cricket Feet Casting Actors Showcase!  All comedy with an AMAZING cast and a heck of a party - April 16th and 17th, see the website for details!

ALSO - Disfigured is doing GREAT on the festival circuit!  Its premiere was at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, it's been screening at Cinequest in San Jose this week, and will be screening at the DC Independent Film Festival TOMORROW at 4pm! :)

AND - Pool Party is available NOW on AT&T's Video on Demand service!  Don't have AT&T Cable?  Well, you'll just have to wait until April and get it from Netflix.  ;)  SO EXCITED!

IN OTHER NEWS - I went to BEAUTIFUL San Francisco and shot an episode of The World's Astonishing News!, which is a popular reenactment show airing in Japan.  SO much fun!  I also performed in a staged reading of Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale for the InterACT Theatre Company, and helped my dear dear friend shoot his FABULOUS pilot!  Sadly, our Level 5 show at the Second City Training Center, Seven Crackers and a Brownie, has ended.  We had a GREAT run though and I will always love my crazy castmates. :)

01/01/08:  HAPPY NEW YEAR!

12/14/07:  DISFIGURED SCREENING! Again, another really good time. This is a nifty film. Some really strong acting in it, I'm adorable, it's got a great tone, it's very funny and holy CRAP is it brave. Again, another film I'm just so proud of... and there's REALLY GOOD NEWS associated with it that I'm keeping under wraps right now. That's so hard for me.  But it's really good. :)

11/29/07:  BROKEN WINDOWS SCREENING!  This was a good time.  Tony Hickman is a fabulous director, got to see a lot of friends and associates and really - a beautiful film, and I'm proud to have been a part of it.

11/24/07:  LA LOCAL!  I've officially moved to Los Angeles (well, the valley) from San Diego.  Glad to be here! :)

09/30/07:  FREE SHOWS!
Come see me in a musical improv show at Second City at 2pm... or if you'd prefer, come see me in a sketch/improv show at Second City at 5:30pm!  I aim to please....

09/28/07:  NEW REPRESENTATION!  I'm now repped commercially by Laura Molina at Daniel Hoff.  Hooray!  Also... there's some of my film footage now posted on the video page of this website.  Feedback is DEFINITELY appreciated!

06/13/07:  POOL PARTY SCREENING!  Obviously, seating is limited, but please email me if you'd like to come and I'll do my best!

06/07/07:  CAST!  I'll be playing a dead woman in the upcoming film "Presence".  VERY excited to be working with this team, really nice people.  Yay!  My improv class is going well also, our instructor is Frank Caeti and he's just great.  I also took a workshop with Susan Messing from Chicago, and this weekend I've got a workshop at IO with Chris Tallman!

05/17/07:  I'm Officially SAG-Eligible!!  Got my  letter from SAG inviting me to join - and I'm sooooo happy. :)  Also, rehearsals have started for The Pygmalion Project, a piece of a play we're performing in the AASD Festival this July.  I've also started Conservatory Level 3 at Second City, which looks like it'll be a really fun class.  Finally, Pool Party is finished and we're having a screening in June.  Hooray! :)

05/08/07:
This Sunday my improv class (Conservatory Level 2, Second City) had a LOVELY time performing some sketch & improv goodness during Second City's Class Performance day.  I am so proud of our class for overcoming some scheduling challenges to deliver a high-energy, fun show - we're good peeps. :)

05/01/07:  Shot Broken Windows yesterday, hooray!  I'm becoming eligible to join SAG from this project, and I'm just so excited.  Had a lot of fun on the shoot yesterday, GREAT cast and crew, just the nicest people, really professional.  It means a lot to me to be earning my SAG card on this production.

04/10/07:  WOW.
Long time, no update, huh?  Well, here's the goods:  I've been CAST in the upcoming feature film Broken Windows, hooray!  Really can't wait to work with Tony, Tommy and Sara again - I've been lucky enough to help with some of the audition sessions and the producers, director, actors are all fabulous people. :)

ALSO - I've been CAST in a new piece being developed for the Actors Alliance of San Diego's annual festival called The Pygmalion Project.  Looks like another amazing group of people to work with, and I'm so excited to be doing some theatre again!

01/01/07:  HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  Lots of updates.  First, my agent's address and phone number have changed!  The Brogan Agency is now located at 1517 Park Row Dr., Venice, CA, 90291.  Their new phone number is (310) 450-9700.  Can't wait to see the new space!

Second, I've joined The Second City's Conservatory Program.  I finished up IFA 1-3, auditioned for conservatory, was accepted, and classes start mid-January.  I'm looking forward to the more in-depth study of improv!

Third, I joined Actorsite!  If you're an Actorsite member, I really look forward to meeting you!  Feel free to send me an email or give me a call, we'll have coffee! :)

Fourth, I've been cast in the SDSU thesis film "Pow-Wow Smith Gets His Land Back".  Great script on this one, can't wait to shoot!

12/10/06:
Back from a week in Hawai'i, which was great!  Can't wait to get back to work though.  This week is my last IFA3 class at The Second City.  We have a performance at 2:30pm on December 17th (8156 Melrose) - and it's FREE!  I'd love to see you there - it's only half an hour (followed by other class performances - full schedule here if you care to stay) and if you email me that you're coming, maybe we can meet up after the show!

11/18/06:  I've been taking voice classes with Jeff Cohen.  Learning lots, but most importantly it's giving me a sense of confidence and stillness.  Good stuff!

11/01/06:  Catch my lovely mug on "LA Forensics" - reairing on Court TV on Wednesday, November 1st at 11pm! :)  (the Hancock Park Mystery episode)

10/20/06:  The first promos for Pool Party are appearing!  If you think you see me in one of them - well, um... you gotta say, that's committment!

In other news, I started IFA3 this week at Second City!  This class culminates in a short performance mid-December - I'll post more details closer to the date!

9/26/06:  Took Scott Sedita's Comedy Intensive Workshop - which was really great and went surprisingly well!  Evidently I'm funny!  Yay me!

For those of you familiar with the class or his 8 Characters of Comedy, I'm evidently mostly the Lovable Loser, with a little Logical Smart one and Bitch (blue-collar style) thrown in.  Didn't get to work on The Dumb One or In My Own Universe - but I'd sure like to try them out as well!

9/19/06:  Long time, no update, eh?  Well, I went to Actorfest on the 16th, great to see some old friends, meet some new people, attend some good panels & workshops, etc!  Still in improv classes at Second City - fabulous.

7/27/06: Shot some promo material for Pool Party - wild and crazy times!

7/14/06:  Phew!  Just finished taping Disfigured, which was an amazing and wonderful experience.  I can't wait to see this film.  Truly.  I also had a really fun commercial audition - keep your fingers crossed for me!  Now officially represented by The Brogan Agency!

7/08/06:  New representation!  It's official as of Monday, July 10th - I will be represented across the board by The Brogan Agency.  I'm looking forward to this new partnership!

6/20/06:  I've been cast in a small role in "Disfigured", an upcoming indie film from writer/director Glenn Gers.  This is a FABULOUS project and I'm really excited - we film mid-July. :)

6/01/06:
I'm now taking improv classes at The Second City!  Whee!

In other news, the screening at OCHSA of "Rita the Meter Maid" was interesting - I was asked if I was graduating too.  Um, this was a HIGH SCHOOL film.  I graduated high school in 1992.  I was flattered - but so shocked I really had no idea what to say.  :)

5/19/06:  Duke's Day screening was a blast - so many fabulous films at SDSU, really very impressive and lots of fun! :)

5/13/06:  I'll be filming another infomercial in June for a cooking appliance. :)  Yay me!  Also, the short film "Duke's Day" will be screening on the SDSU campus on Thursday, the 18th.  Woo hoo!  I can't wait to see it!  And of course, on the 20th I go to orientation for my new improv classes at Second City!  I really can't wait!
